We are writing to thank you for your patronage of our wonderful Liz Claiborne New York branded outlet stores. Unfortunately, over the course of the next few months, we will be closing our outlet stores. In some cases, stores will remain open through the 2010 holiday season.
This was a difficult decision to make and doesn’t reflect at all on the wonderful loyalty of our customers. The outlet stores were originally created to sell our excess (end of season) Liz Claiborne New York department store-branded merchandise. Now that announcements have been made about our new brand strategy, we no longer need the support of an outlet division.
The Liz Claiborne brand will re-launch this August 2010 in JCPenney stores nationwide. At the same time, we will offer a line that is made exclusively for sale on QVC. Though we will certainly miss being able to assist you personally in our outlet stores, we hope that you’ll continue to support our great brand through those two new sales channels.
Effective 8/3/10, we will no longer be enrolling customers in our Liz Rewards loyalty program. In addition, on 8/9/10, the program will end and points will no longer be issued during customer transactions.
If you have any outlet store gift cards or merchandise credits, you can redeem them at the store nearest
you before it closes. Our Consumer Relations staff will be happy to help once the stores actually close.
